Trustix Secure Linux Security Advisory #2001-0026

Package name: OpenSSH
Summary: Possible login from disallowed source IP addresses.
Date: 2001-10-17
Affected versions: TSL 1.01, 1.1, 1.2, 1.5

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATED:
This is really the TSLSA-2001-0023 with the MD5 sums for the TSL 1.1
and 1.2 packages updated as we forgot to sign them in the proper way.

Problem description:
From the OpenSSH Security Advisory (adv.option):
Depending on the order of the user keys in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys2
sshd might fail to apply the source IP based access control
restriction (e.g. from="10.0.0.1") to the correct key.

    Impact:
Users can circumvent the system policy and login from disallowed
    source IP addresses.

Action:
We recommend that all systems with this package installed are upgraded.

Location:
All TSL updates are available from
  <URI:http://www.trustix.net/pub/Trustix/updates/>
